SOMANZ GRANTS & AWARDS

The Society makes available a number of awards at the Annual Scientific Meeting. Applications are called for as part of the abstract submission process, and are judged at the ASM.

SOMANZ President’s Award

The SOMANZ President’s Award will be given to the best clinical presentation by any SOMANZ member at the meeting. The award is for A$1000.00 and will be judged by an expert panel throughout the meeting and awarded on the final day.

SOMANZ Andrew Phippard Memorial Award

The SOMANZ Andrew Phippard Memorial Award will be given to the best oral scientific presentation by a junior SOMANZ member during the meeting. This award is for A$1000.00 and will be judged by an expert panel throughout the meeting and awarded on the final day.

SOMANZ Best Poster Award

The SOMANZ Best Poster Award will be available during the Annual Scientific Meeting in Brisbane. Please indicate if you wish to be considered for the Poster Award during the abstract submission process. You must be a SOMANZ member to apply and must be standing by your poster at the time of the poster session. The SOMANZ Poster Award is to the value of A$500.

SOMANZ Travel Grants

Applications are invited from junior members of the Society to apply for SOMANZ Travel Grants to attend the Annual Scientific Meeting in Sydney. The travel grants is to the value of A$500. Applicants must be a financial member of the Society at the time of application and be presenting at the meeting. Applications (in a form of a brief letter) should be sent to the SOMANZ Secretariat, 145 Macquarie Street, Sydney, NSW, 2000, Australia. Applications can also be emailed to somanz@racp.edu.au by TBC.
